# Build sequences and control enrollment
Create reviewed email steps, delays, variables, variants, signatures, and safe enrollment rules.

## When to use this

Use Sequence and Settings before launch to decide what eligible prospects receive and when.

## Requirements and availability

- Every message and AI draft must be reviewed before launch.
- Unknown variables are called out and must be corrected.
- Scale includes A/B variants and custom signatures when the separate Outreach subscription is active.

## How to do it

1. Open a campaign and choose Sequence.
2. Add an email step, subject, body or AI prompt, and wait days.
3. Insert only supported variables and resolve Unknown variables.
4. Optionally send a test email from a connected account.
5. In Settings, choose workers, score, daily volume, verified-email rule, stop rules, sending hours, days, and time zone.
6. Review the final sequence as a recipient would see it before launch.

## Fields and controls

| Control | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Draft this sequence with AI | Creates editable draft copy. |
| Wait days | Sets delay before the next email. |
| Variables | Inserts supported prospect or sender values. |
| Variant subject / body | Adds an A/B version when included. |
| Add signature | Adds configured sender identity and optional logo. |
| Emails per day per inbox | Caps daily sends for each selected inbox. |

## What happens next

Only prospects meeting source and enrollment rules enter. A reply stops the sequence for that thread; configured stop rules can stop related sends.

## States you may see

| State | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| Draft | Editable and not active. |
| Unknown variables | A placeholder cannot be resolved. |
| Test sent | A test request was accepted; verify the receiving inbox for delivery. |

## Credits and usage

AI drafting and editing do not change prospecting credit use. Sending-account and Outreach limits remain separate.

## Common problems

| Problem | What to check |
| --- | --- |
| No prospect exists for a test | The preview may use sample values; do not treat them as account data. |
| An address is suppressed | Nothing is sent; review the suppression and stop-rule reason. |
