# Draft a profile from your website
Use a public company domain to prefill an editable target profile without treating generated text as final.

## When to use this

Use website drafting when your public site explains your company, offer, and customers and you want a faster starting point.

## Requirements and availability

- Enter a public company domain or website URL.
- Private, local, malformed, or unreadable addresses cannot be researched.
- A domain detected from a work email may be suggested, but you can replace it.

## How to do it

1. Open [Profiles](https://app.leama.ai/profiles).
2. Select New profile, then Start with a domain.
3. Enter the domain and select Draft profile.
4. Wait for the editable form.
5. Correct every field, choose Effort and requirements, then Save profile.

## Fields and controls

| Control | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Website domain | The public source used for the draft. |
| Draft profile | Starts research and opens the draft when ready. |
| Open a blank profile | Skips research and continues manually. |

## What happens next

Leama fills the normal profile editor. Nothing is saved until you select Save profile.

## States you may see

| State | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| Researching | Leama is reading the public website. |
| Draft ready | Generated values are available for review and editing. |
| Website could not be read | The signed-in profile editor offers full manual fields. The public homepage may first ask for one free-text description; complete and review the full profile after sign-in. |

## Credits and usage

Drafting and editing a profile do not spend prospect credits.

## Common problems

| Problem | What to check |

| The domain is rejected | Use a normal public company website. |
| The draft describes the wrong audience | Rewrite Describe target persona and supporting fields before saving. |
